The original soundtrack for Cirque du Soleil's ʻAuana is now available worldwide, marking another major milestone for composer Evan Duffy and the groundbreaking Hawaii-based production. Released through BMG and Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, the 16-track album captures the emotional core of the acclaimed resident show, bringing its music to audiences far beyond the theater.
As Cirque du Soleil's first resident production in Hawaii and the company's first show inspired entirely by a single destination, the score was created to honor the islands' stories, landscapes, and living culture. Performed entirely in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, the soundtrack stands as one of the few globally distributed full-length albums to feature the Native Hawaiian language throughout.
Reflecting on the release, Duffy shared:
"Music has always been the emotional heartbeat of ʻAuana'. I'm honored that audiences around the world can now take this music with them and experience Hawaii's stories long after they've left the theater."
The soundtrack follows the earlier release of lead single "Kele ka Moana," and showcases collaborations with Native Hawaiian artists, musicians, and cultural advisors who helped shape the production's authentic musical identity.
