JORDAN SEIGEL

Los Angeles-based composer, pianist and orchestrator Jordan Seigel possesses an expressive, original voice in a stunning variety of media. His original music for films and television includes the critically acclaimed Jay Duplass film The Baltimorons, Focus Features’ Half Brothers,and the musical comedy Lucky Stiff. He has also contributed additional music for Jordan Peele’s revival of The Twilight Zone, the crime drama Godfather of Harlem, the Revolutionary War drama TURN: Washington’s Spies, and the dystopian Young Adult adaptation The Giver, among many others. Seigel’s score for the short film Cosmic Fling won “Best Score” at the Sulmona International Film Festival. In addition to being featured on numerous high-profile playlists, his soundtrack for Half Brothers received praise from Variety and Slashfilm, and has over 75 million plays on Spotify.

Seigel’s piano arrangement and performance of the song “Long, Long Time” was a key element in the series The Last of Us. He is also the featured pianist for the various new AppleTV+ Peanuts series and specials, including The Snoopy Show, which finds him following in the venerable footsteps of legendary pianist Vince Guaraldi. He has also performed on a wide variety of projects, including The Simpsons, The Morning ShowThe Bob’s Burgers Movie, Deadwood: The Movie, and Perry Mason.

With his multi-faceted debut album, Beyond Images, a Downbeat Editor’s Pick, Seigel brought together his foremost passions with a scintillating and eclectic collection of original songs inspired by cinema’s greatest composers. Seigel has maintained an active role on the jazz scene, playing with such acclaimed artists as Joel Frahm, Ulysses Owens Jr, Benny Benack III, Michael Feinstein, Lewis Nash, Peter Erskine, Jeff Hamilton, and Graham Dechter. 

A Los Angeles native, Seigel’s gifts were evident at an early age, earning him a full scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. During his time on the east coast he studied with such greats as Danilo Pérez, Fred Hersch, and Aaron Goldberg, and garnered a number of accolades including the Alex Ulanowski Award in Composition, the Michael Rendish Award in Film Scoring, and two Jazz Performance Awards.
